As the
Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Food Security Policy Research, Capacity, and
Influence (PRCI) approaches its fifth-year milestone, anticipation is building
for the second in-person Global Gathering in Washington, DC, from March 6-8 at
the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center. This unique event
will bring together PRCI partners from the United States, Africa, and Asia, as
well as USAID personnel and collaborative partners to assess the Lab’s
components, delve into empirical research findings, and engage in insightful
discussions on applied policy research.
Among the
distinguished participants is the Innovation Lab for Policy Leadership in
Agriculture and Food Security (PiLAF), which is participating alongside other
centers and development partners in this global event. PiLAF will be actively
involved in various activities, including panel discussion and participating in
the gallery walk to showcase its remarkable achievements under PRCI.
During
the gallery walk, PiLAF will unveil the accomplishments it has attained within
the PRCI framework. This exhibition serves as a testament to the Lab’s success
in fostering applied policy research with genuine, tangible impact. PiLAF’s
journey within the PRCI has been marked by innovation, collaboration, and a
commitment to driving positive change in agriculture and food security in
Nigeria. PiLAF will also highlight what is unique about PRCI and its impact on
PiLAF. In the same vein, the gallery walk will feature the next crucial step
that PiLAF needs to take to build on its success.
Other
highlights of the event include video presentations from African Centers for
Policy Leadership, plenary session, interviews, and presentations by STAAARS+ researchers.
The gathering will bring together senior leaders and experts from the PRCI
consortium to discuss the progress made under the components of the initiative
and its contribution to institutional capacity strengthening globally.
Undoubtedly,
this global gathering will provide the opportunity to network and collaborate. As
a hybrid event, it provides the flexibility for both in-person and virtual
participation. You can access the link for virtual participation here.
