PiLAF’s BROWN BAG SERIES (7TH EDITION)
PiLAF’s BROWN BAG SERIES
PiLAF’s Brown Bag Series is an effort of the Innovation Lab for Policy Leadership in Agriculture and Food Security (PiLAF) in bridging the gap between researchers and policy makers. It is expected to be a platform that will bring together various actors along the agricultural value chain and food system to discuss topical issues affecting agricultural development in Nigeria as well as the sub-region. The obvious disconnect between the town and the gown has over time led to poor policy formulation and implementation, creating evident problems in the agricultural policy process, spanning across agenda setting, policy design, adoption, implementation as well as evaluation and reforms.
The Brown Bag Series thereby aims to find solution to various agricultural and food security issues, which might stimulate the need to conduct research to properly understand the situation and consequently, provide effective recommendations to address them. Ultimately, the Brown Bag series would help to improve the agricultural policy process by providing evidences for policy makers from researches that would be generated from insightful discussions.
